A South El Monte Manufacturing Roof, Coated in Place
Finish Kare is one of the world’s leading makers of mold-release products, running an 8,500-square-foot manufacturing and warehouse facility in South El Monte. Its roof, a built-up system with a granular cap sheet, had aged out: the reflective surfacing was gone, the asphalt had deteriorated, and cracked flashings and equipment curbs were letting water into a building full of product and production equipment.
Manufacturing Can’t Stop for a Roof
With materials moving constantly and a production line to protect, Finish Kare needed a fix that kept the plant running. A conventional tear-off, quoted at two to three times the price, would have meant an exposed building and interrupted operations. HP Roofing Pro confirmed the deck was sound and the failure was limited to the waterproofing, ideal conditions for a fluid-applied restoration.
Seamless Acrylic, Zero Interruption
Our crews applied an acrylic coating system directly over the existing roof, sealing the whole surface without tearing anything off. Finish Kare kept manufacturing and shipping throughout. The new membrane is fully waterproof and highly reflective, protecting sensitive product below and trimming energy costs, all for a fraction of what a replacement would have run.
