A Precision Manufacturerโs Roof in Covina
Hydro Fitting Manufacturing Corporation designs and builds custom charging kits, hose assemblies, and fittings from a 14,700-square-foot plant in Covina, precision work that depends on a dry, controlled environment. The buildingโs built-up roof had degraded the way most do under California sun: lost granules, hardened and cracked asphalt, and failing flashings around rooftop equipment, with leaks beginning to threaten the operation below.
Why Restoration Won Out
Hydro Fitting had been quoted a full tear-off and re-roof at roughly two to three times the cost of a coating restoration, a job that would also have exposed the plant and disrupted production. HP Roofing Proโs inspection found the roof deck intact; the only real failure was the waterproofing. That made an acrylic restoration the obvious, lower-risk choice.
Before and After
We applied a fluid-applied acrylic system over the existing membrane, sealing every seam and penetration into one continuous waterproof surface, with the plant fully operational throughout. The before-and-after is striking: a worn, leak-prone gray roof transformed into a bright, reflective white membrane that keeps the building cooler and the production floor dry, all without the cost or downtime of a replacement.
