Company’s minimally disruptive installation process produces durable roofs that reflect more sunlight and heat, cutting cooling costs significantly, HP Roofing PRO reports
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — HP Roofing PRO, one of California’s leading commercial roofing contractors, is helping customers save as much as 15 percent on their cooling costs through the non-invasive installation of cool roofing materials. Popular among property owners, building managers, and businesses, the company’s proprietary approach does not require the removal of existing roofing, keeping disruption to an absolute minimum.
Cool roofing works by reflecting away sunlight and heat, the energy within which would otherwise be absorbed into a building and need to be removed via the costly use of air conditioning. As one of Southern California’s most experienced and highly regarded Commercial Roofing specialists, HP Roofing PRO always strives to provide services that suit the needs of clients perfectly. That commitment to serving customers at the highest possible level led to the development of a cool roofing installation methodology that produces especially efficient, sustainable results.
Cool roofing installed by HP Roofing PRO is suitable to virtually any type of commercial building, and will quickly pay for itself thanks to reduced spending on energy, in many cases. The company’s cool roofs are also particularly durable, making for even more impressive returns on investment over the longer term.
“Conventional roofs absorb a lot more sunlight and thermal energy than many people realize,” said HP Roofing PRO President Jeff Lim. “That often means drawing huge amounts of unwanted heat directly into the building below, where an expensive HVAC system will have to start removing it right away. Installing a cool roof that reflects sunlight and heat can cut HVAC costs for a property owner or business significantly. Our unique approach to the installation of cool roofing minimizes disruption and ensures the best possible results in every case. That’s a reflection of the dedication to our customers that has made us one of the most frequently recommended commercial roofing companies in Southern California.”
The ability of an object or material to reflect electromagnetic radiation produced by the sun is called its “albedo.” Conventional roofs covered with asphalt shingles typically have an albedo in the range of 10 to 20 percent, according to the Environmental and Energy Study Institute, meaning that up to 90 percent of that energy gets absorbed.
Roofing materials that are designed to do a much better job of reflecting sunlight and infrared heat can have albedo ratings as high as 60 percent. Absorbing only a fraction as much heat as conventional designs, cool roofs can stay within 10 degrees Fahrenheit of the ambient temperature, while a roof covered in asphalt might be as much as 90 degrees hotter.
Cool roofing thereby significantly reduces reliance on air conditioning in many types of commercial buildings. The HP Roofing PRO cool roof installation system also keeps disruption to a minimum throughout the process. More information on cool roofing and the rest of the company’s services is available at the HP Roofing PRO website.
